The Old Rochester School Committee is expected to vote in March to approve a project that will revitalize the main playing field, the track and the infield of the track and much-needed replacement of the lighting and upgrades to the sound system in the auditorium.

The annual tax impact on an average taxpayer would be: $25.11 in Marion, $19.57 in Mattapoisett and $34.39 in Rochester (based on a 15-year bond).
Each town will decide how to fund it. In Marion and Mattapoisett, most of the project would be eligible for CPA funding, greatly reducing the impact on taxpayers. So for the cost of a couple of pizzas each year, we can revitalize these key areas of our community used by 64% of all ORR students and a huge percentage of our citizens and community groups.
